Tues., 17 September -- DAY 9

Saco to Kennebunk

As promised, today's ride was short. A huge shout-out to Seacoast RV for their quick repair of the power cord and a couple of other add-on needs. They are located right off of the Eastern Trail section of the East Coast Greenway. There is actually a little path to the trail from the corner of the sales lot. You can see the Trail's bridge over US1 from the lot. DL grabbed a shot of my crossing.

I had ridden today's section of trail, in the opposite direction, several years ago. It was every bit as wonderful as it had been then. I did miss all of my marsh views, but the entire trail is so well maintained, that it is always a pleasure. It will be nice if the trail can bypass the downtowns of Saco and/or Biddeford, but having nice trail before and after makes you forget any traffic woes and/or construction.

Here is a view of the Eastern Trail bridge over I-95. If you've ever driven north (or south) of Kennebunk in the past several years, you've driven under this bridge. It is just past (or before) the Kennebunk Service Plaza.

Happy to have a nice little campsite in a large park. We hung out and ate delicious left-overs. When we pulled in, we were surprised to see this cool RV and car. We had seen the car in Damariscotta when we went to King Eider Pub (Friday night). It was fun to see it again, this time with the matching RV.

Saying good-bye to Maine tomorrow.
